公路工程冰冻损害在冬季冻土地区十分普遍,为有效减少或防止这一病害的发生,需要进行公路工程抗冻设计计算.以青藏高原东北边缘区和黄土高原丘陵沟壑过渡地带的甘肃临夏至大河家二级公路改造工程为例,根据山区公路沿途的气候特点,结合季节冻结状况和沿途的岩土性质,根据相关规划对道路冻深、路基冻胀值、路基填土和地基土的冻胀率和路基总冻胀值进行了计算,采用容许总冻胀理论进行了路基路面抗冻计算.最后,对路基容许冻胀值进行验算,并对可能出现的冻害提出了工程防治措施.
