描述与论析新中国美术60年发展历程的专著、图录、论文、文献等已有很多,它们大多从宏观视野进行概括归纳,或从文化社会学层面进行总结整理,从背景、发生、作品分类等方面进行分析讨论。然而,作为一个艺术门类的美术有着它自己的内部规律与表达方式。在新中国成立后的60年,甚至是前30年中的绘画与雕塑发展中,仍有许多在其本体框架内的生存方式与演绎轨迹。本文选择了新中国美术60年的10个片断进行描述与分析,试图从作品、画种、画家、教育、事件等不同侧面进行透视,寻找美术除了受到意识形态限定与各种政治因素影响之外的有意义的方面,以此丰富对新中国美术60年的认识。
