城市意象是美国凯文·林奇(KevinLynch)对波士顿(Boston)泽西城(JerseyCity)和洛杉矶(LosAngeles)等城市进行了周密的研究分析后,提出的一种城市规划设计的思想。城市意象由特色、结构、含义所构成。意象的要素分为五类:道路、边界、区域、中心与节点、标志物组成。清华园的规划和建筑近百年的发展,基本上形成了固定的结构体系。随着校园规模的逐步扩建,整体形态也稍有变化,整个校园各种建筑风格荟萃,可以说记录了中国近代建筑发展的历史,具有独特的城市意象。
The image of the city is a thought of urban planning and design proposed by Kevin Lynch after careful study and analysis of cities such as Boston (Jersey City) and Los Angeles (Los Angeles). The image of the city is composed of the characteristics, the structure and the meaning. The elements of the image are divided into five categories: roads, borders, regions, centers and nodes, and markers. Tsinghua Park's planning and construction nearly a hundred years of development, basically formed a fixed structural system. With the gradual expansion of the campus scale, the overall shape also changes slightly. There are many architectural styles in the entire campus, which can be said to record the history of the development of modern Chinese architecture and have a unique image of the city.
