一、我市档案工作现状至1991年底,全市有档案局6个,档案馆8个,档案室856个;共有档案干部1297人。馆藏案卷167575个,底图5487张,录音录像88盘,照片8722张,资料38281册;编有案卷目录、分类目录、专题目录、“全引”目录等1090本,卡片57886张;一年编有资料4种约33万字。各单位室藏案卷1842746个(其中专门档案1256741卷),底图925023张,录音录像1908盘,照片48373张,资料102137册;一年编有资料约3608万字。这一时期,馆、室藏档案增长速度分别为32％和19％;馆、室年均接待查阅人员462056人次,提供利用833002卷件。据1984～1991年的不完全统计,提供档案利用取得的经济效益在1.25亿元以上。据抽样调查,档案室业务建设合格率达75％以上的单位占76％,其中合格率达90％以上的单位占47％。截至1991年,档案工作经考核达标升级的单位,占单位总数的27％。其中市属单位档案工作达标升级的,占单位总数的35％;区、县属单位档案工作达标升级的,占单位总数的16％。总之,我市档案工作从无到有,人小到大,从不健全到比较完善,工作有了巨大变化,事业有了很大发展,这就是:
