“葡萄酒热”在亚洲的兴起,为中国的葡萄酒提供了广阔的发展市场,国外优良单品种酒都在标签上标注众所周知的、统一的葡萄名称,而中国在酿酒葡萄品种的称谓上显得随意性大,给正走向成熟的葡萄酒市场造成混乱,也在一定程度上误导了消费者,使人们不知其所云。为了使酿酒葡萄品种的中文名称规范起来,避免贻害消费者,郭其昌、黎盛臣、罗国光、张茂扬、冯贻标、田栖静、郭松泉等7位专家根据一些重要的命名原则,对国际上公认的一些著名酿酒葡萄品种作了新的命名,并认为这一命名有必要成为国家标准的一个组成部分。
