GMPLS(通用多协议标记交换)是MPLS(多协议标记交换)向光网络发展的必然产物。文中首先介绍了GMPLS对MPLS协议所做的增强,包括建议标记的应用,LSP(标记交换路径)的分级以及双向LSP的建立机制。然后阐述了GMPLS所提供的灵活的链路保护/恢复机制。最后展望了GMPLS未来的发展和应用。
GMPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) is the inevitable result of the development of MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) to optical networks. The paper first introduces the enhancements made by GMPLS to the MPLS protocol, including the application of the proposed label, the classification of LSPs and the establishment of bidirectional LSPs. Then it elaborates the flexible link protection / recovery mechanism provided by GMPLS. Finally, the future development and application of GMPLS are prospected.
