教学大纲中指出,英语教学的目的是使学生掌握语言本身,同时通过语言教学来培养学生的观察能力、认识社会的能力。然而在常规课堂教学中,老师讲、学生听,一节课满堂灌。基本上是注入式、填鸭式。学生没有机会参与,只是被动的接受,为了应付考试而上课。如果这种状况不加以改革,课堂教育不加以优化,教育目的就不能实现。因此,在高中英语教学中,教师要运用正确的指导方法,把教学的“舞台”让给学生,促使学生主动把握英语学习,增加英语知识的吸收,提高英语学习的技能,以此达到学生自己发展的目的。这就意味着在教学中要提高学生自主学习,教师从旁指导,最终达到英语教学的目的。
