2006年11月20日,中宣部、中央综治委、公安部、中华见义勇为基金会授予张彦军等10人(含团体)“全国见义勇为英雄”荣誉称号。见义勇为、匡扶正义、扶危济困,是中华民族的传统美德,是时代精神的具体体现。在国家利益、集体利益和人民群众生命财产受到严重威胁和不法侵害时,面对血与火、生与死的严峻考验,一大批见义勇为英雄和先进分子临危不惧,挺身而出,与违法犯罪分子和灾害事故展开了英勇搏斗,用汗水、鲜血乃至生命谱写了新时期人民英雄感人至深、催人泪下的奉献壮歌。在他们身上,集中体现了崇高的社会责任感,体现了无私无畏的品德、气节,体现了当代中国人的精神风貌。他们是时代的英雄,是全社会的楷模,是我们学习的榜样。为了向时代英雄学习,本刊特摘录第十届“全国见义勇为英雄”事迹,以飨读者。
On November 20, 2006, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Committee for Comprehensive Management, the Ministry of Public Security, and the China Foundation for the Foundation of Justice and Valuation awarded Zhang Yanjun and other 10 people (including groups) with the honor of “National Heroes for Bravery”. It is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation and a concrete manifestation of the spirit of the times, including courage, support for justice, and helping the poor. When the national interests, collective interests, and people’s lives and property are seriously threatened and illegally violated, facing a severe test of blood and fire, life and death, a large number of courageous heroes and advanced elements are in dire straits and fearlessness, and come forward to meet with the criminals. Disaster accidents began heroic struggles, using sweat, blood, and even life to compose a deep and tearful dedication to the people’s heroes in the new era. In them, they embody a lofty sense of social responsibility, embody the morality and integrity of selflessness, and embody the spiritual outlook of the contemporary Chinese. They are the heroes of the era, are models of the entire society, and are examples for us to learn.
