1979年以来,我国社会学工作者先后开展了小城镇研究、城市化研究、城市社区研究、农村改革研究、城乡关系研究等诸项社区研究,取得了一批成果。但这些社区研究多属专题性质,尚不能构成一个较完整的有系统的研究构架。著名社会学家何肇发教授主编的高等学校文科教材《社区概论》一书,是近年社区研究的第一部导论性入门教材。它与已有的社区研究成果的最大不同之处,在于它不是具体地研究某一个社区或社区的某一侧面,而是概述社区研究的众多成果,介绍社区的概念、基本类型和原理、研究方法以及社区的基本结构和变迁过程,从而为研究者提供一个进行具体社区研究的指南,一般的社会学工作者也能较确切地从中找到社会学研究的入手处。
Since 1979, Chinese sociological workers have carried out various community studies such as small town research, urbanization research, urban community research, rural reform research, and research on the relationship between urban and rural areas, and achieved a number of achievements.
