Cadmium telluride (CdZnTe) detector is one of the most important detectors in ambient temperature γ-ray detectors. It can be used at room temperature without the need of cryogenic (liquid nitrogen cooling) semiconductor detectors such as HPGe, NaI (Tl) detectors have better energy resolution. The average of CdZnTe detectors is higher than the ordinal number, and the detection efficiency of unit volume is correspondingly high, which can be made into a small size and light weight portable detector.
