我们学校,在四川靠近云南边境的山地区域里,距县城虽然只有70里,但都是山路。解放前,这里是个初师,图书没有—本,仪器没有一件.解放後,以原有校地为基础,改建成一所初中。几年来,在党和政府的领导下,图书仪器进了山区,设备逐渐充实起来。但在交通不便,学校基础较差,物质设备不足的条件下,现在全校只有三个班,学生一三九人。教师七人中,生物教师仅一人,除担任全部生物课程外,还要兼代其他课程及职务.特别困难的是自己对生物就是外行。在上级的培养教育下,边学边教,虽然逐渐学会一些理论知识,但苦於还不能结合实际。上学期学习全面发展的教育方针,知道理论和实际结合的原则在生物课里具有非常重大的意义。在学校的支持下,上学期才开始栽培一些植物和制作—点很少的教具。我从1954年10月号生物学通报第43页“怎样制做生物模型”一文中,看到黑龙江克山中学郑士达和王绍南两位同志介绍的制做纸浆模型的方法后,因为觉得方法简单,材料易找,所以决心照样试做一下.但到真正做起来时,却遇到很多困难。兹以做水螅模型来简单谈谈:首先是在立体的泥坯上堆积纸浆,感到厚薄不便掌握;縱剖时,切面难得整齐。
