糖甜菜花粉母细胞减数分裂的研究开始于本世纪廿年代,然而,由于甜菜花器和染色体非常小及其减数分裂行为较为复杂,使这方面的研究进展缓慢。随着细胞学技术的飞速发展,糖甜菜花粉母细胞减数分裂的研究与应用的报导越来越多。Levan(1945)首次描述了二倍体和单倍体糖甜菜的粗线期;Walia(1971)报导了二、四倍体种和部分野生种的减数分裂前期特征;De Jang(1979)用Giemoa法分析了二倍体减数分裂异染色质的分布问题;Yu(1977)Nakamura(1982)分别报导了二倍体粗线
Studies on meiosis of sugar beet pollen mother cells began in the 1920s. However, due to the very small beet organs and chromosomes and their meiotic behavior, the progress in this field has been slow. With the rapid development of cytology, the research and application of meiosis of sugar beet pollen mother cells have been reported more and more. Levan (1945) first described the pachytene phase of diploid and haploid sugar beets; Walia (1971) reported pre-meiotic features of the second and fourth diploids and some wild species; De Jang (1979) Giemoa method analysis of diploid meiosis heterochromatin distribution; Yu (1977) Nakamura (1982) reported the diploid bold line
