在岳阳路上的十字路口,有一个小小的街心花园,街心花园的中央,有一座普希金的铜像,那是从前沦落到上海来的白俄竖起来的,不过,在我出生以前,他们中的大多数已经在一九四九年逃到外国去了。他们住过的房子,俄式的,还在那里,红色的、有着白漆斑驳的窗子,门楣上还有一百年以前的石头浮雕,半圆的灰色石头上,雕着有藤蔓的叶子和花。现在住在这房子里的人,当然是中国人了。一些老人,有时候还会说起他们的故事。说他们中有许多酒鬼,喝啊喝啊,喝了就用罗宋话唱他们的歌,唱着唱着就哭了,哭着哭着就睡着了,上海冬天的晚上,在淮海路大商店的门廊下,他们就那么嘟囔着睡着了。说他们中的女人,说是什么什么公主,在DDS当舞女的,
At the crossroads on Yueyang Road, there is a small street-centre garden. In the middle of the street-centre garden, there is a bronze statue of Pushkin.
