Sixty-two cases of traumatic subdural hygromaare reported. All of them were confirmed surgical-ly. The incidence was 1. 16% out of a series headinjury cases during the same period. The opera-tive mortality rate was 9. 7%. Of 62 cases, 56 weresituated supratentorially and only 6 infratentorially.Most of them were caused by deceleration injury.
