黄土在我国分布十分广泛,它的成分和结构具有一定的特殊性,结构性强是其身上最突出的一个特点,但是它还有一旦遇水就会发生湿陷从而使其强度得到瓦解的弱点,这点对水库大坝和家住地基来说都是极大的安全隐患。而水库大坝在截水泄洪等方面的发挥着奇效,与人民群众的生产生活息息相关。但是,湿陷性黄土地基不仅威胁这一般性质的建筑物的安全,还给水库大坝的建设带来了不小的挑战,为了更好的解决此类难题,首先要对湿陷性黄土有个大致的理解,从而为其填筑处理技术提供一定的参考和借鉴。
