The abradable seal made of the composite powder is increasing, and it is unique in the high-performance turbine engine to solve the pressure difference problem when the hot gas flows. This article reviews the production methods of powders and the properties of various commercial composite powders, and describes the methods and structure properties of these composite powders as a grinded seal ring structure. Described in detail for some engine applications and outlines the future use of advanced composite powders for turbine engines.
