语料库语言学的迅速发展对语言学研究的各个领域起到了很大的促进作用。在英语学习中,语料库以其大量真实的语料和快捷准确的检索日益受到学习者的重视。本文利用FLOB和FROWN两个标准语料库,研究了even if和even though在英国英语和美国英语中的使用情况,从时态、情态动词和省略等三个方面做了详细的描述和比较,使学习者在词典释义的基础上对它们的实际应用有了进一步的认识,也验证了语料库在英语学习中的实用价值。
The rapid development of corpus linguistics has greatly promoted the various fields of linguistic research. In English learning, corpus is increasingly valued by learners with its large amount of real corpus and quick and accurate retrieval. In this paper, two standard corpora of FLOB and FROWN are used to study the use of even if and even though in British English and American English, and the detailed description and comparison are made from three aspects: tense, modal verb and ellipsis, On the basis of dictionary interpretation, they have further understanding of their practical application, and also verify the practical value of corpus in English learning.
