There are all kinds of art works in the world, among the vast art works. Those who are most touched by the hearts and minds of people are the works that tell the sufferings and joy of millions of people and the longing for and pursuit of light. The woodcut comic “City” by Maksiteller (1889-1971) is a capitalist world delineated by a sharp woodcut knife. Filled with life struggles, crying out, crying and fighting in these works, it takes us into a dark golden world filled with blood and tears. Writer Sri Szeto Swazi once wrote: “Maks. Sulei Lele is the most talented painter of our time, and in this era there is no poet, he is the Balzac in this age.” Today, we live in a sun-filled society, read the “city” again, and it is awake, more noble and more determined.
