现代科学研究的结果证明,无论是主动吸烟还是被动吸烟,多吃富有营养和低脂肪饮食,就可减轻吸烟对人体的危害。 生物化学家们认为,吸烟的危害,大多是因为氧化损害所引起,即高活性氧对细胞膜、血清胆固醇和化合物的侵袭,并在体内转化成致癌物质。而抗氧化物能有效地防止高活性氧对人体细胞的侵袭。这种抗氧化物,就存在于人的日常饮食中,主要是维生素C、维生素E、β-胡萝卜素、微量元素硒和ω- 3脂肪酸等。因此,多吃含有这些抗氧化物的饮食,就能把吸烟的危害减轻。
