The National Fire Protection Association calls a residential fire with a death toll of more than 5 and a non-residential fire with more than 3 deaths each as a fire of many deaths. In the United States, a fire that killed only 1-2 people has not It is regarded as a great tragedy of mankind by the society and news organizations, but when deaths exceed 3-5 people, the units concerned will follow up the investigations and the news units report them with great efforts in order to arouse people’s attention. According to statistics, in 1992 A total of 176 deaths occurred in 35 U.S. fires (excluding the number of deaths below 2 deaths) resulting in a death toll of 176. Historically, the number of deaths and the number of fires that occurred each year in the past was higher than in 1992 It is even more worth mentioning that the number of fires with a large death toll has decreased for three consecutive years. For example, the number of fires decreased by 33% in 1992 and the number of fires by 49%. In 1992, there was no fire with more than 20 deaths. Unfortunately, however, no reason for the decrease was reported in the 1992 fire report, which is summarized below by the United States Fire Protection Association as a result of a survey on the number of fatal fires.
