The revolution in the Internet in the 1990s changed the world and deeply affected people’s lives and working methods. In recent years, the Internet revolution is rapidly spreading to the embedded field, and network access will become one of the core functions of all computing platforms in the future. Intel, a leading advocate of new trends, defines this technology as a Machine-to-Machine (M2M) machine-to-machine interconnect. The combination of computing power and network connectivity will be at the heart of M2M technology.
