关于茶的功用,陆羽在《茶经·一之源》中有精到而全面的阐述:“茶之为用,味至寒,为饮最宜精行俭德之人。若热渴、凝闷、脑疼、目涩、四支烦、百节不舒,聊四五啜,与醍醐、甘露抗衡也。”对于这段文字,尤其是其中的“精行俭德”一词,茶界众说纷纭,但不少学者并未将这段文字“还原”或“放回”到陆羽其人和所处时代的“语境”来释读。本文拟就以往茶界有关“精行俭德”的歧义略作辨析,重点就“精行”一词的词源及其本义再作探讨,以请正于方家。
