台达电子创立于1971年,发展至今已成为全球第一大ODM电源供货商及直流风扇、消费性电子零组件、视讯、通讯网络与工业自动化等领域的主要供货商。2008年,集团营收预估将达五十八亿美元(约合人民币四百亿)。台达以“环保、节能、爱地球”为经营使命,致力于提升产品效率及开发替代能源产品,并落实产品绿色设计、生产的理念。自2006年起新建的全球厂办均采用绿建筑理念,台达台南厂,是台湾第一座获得“黄金级”绿建筑标章认证的厂办建筑,比普通建筑节省30%的能源与40%的水资源。在工业自动化领域,台达凭借在电力电子及控制技术方面累积的专业经验,自1995年开始生产变频器以来,产品线不断扩张,至今已拥有驱动、控制、运动三大类系列齐全、先进可靠的自动化产品,并在以无穷的创新力,促使世界自动化科技不断进步。
