据犹太人的《圣经》记载:天下人原本都讲一样的语言,都有一样的口音。大洪水劫后,天上出现了第一道彩虹,上帝以彩虹与地上的人们定下约定,不再用大洪水毁灭大地。但人类担心洪水再发生,就联合起来兴建希望能通往天堂的高塔。为了阻止这一计划,上帝让人类说不同的语言,使人类相互之间不能沟通,计划因此失败,人类自此各散东西。这则圣经故事充满了丰富的寓意,其一就是只有语言相通,齐心协力,才能打造通往幸福天堂的巴别塔。按照近20年来活跃于西方的社会
According to the Jewish Bible, all people in the world speak the same language and have the same accent. After the Great Flood, the first rainbow appeared in the sky. God set a promise with the people on the earth by the rainbow and no longer destroyed the earth with floods. But human beings, worried about the recurrence of the flood, will unite to build the tower that they hope will lead to heaven.
