大力推进退役士兵自谋职业,无疑是今后退役士兵安置工作的主渠道。经过几年的努力,安置工作改革推行自谋职业取得了突破性进展:一是退役士兵思想观念转变,报名自谋职业的热情不断高涨;二是初步建立了经济补助.政策扶持,技能培训、劳务中介相配套的运行机制。但是.要进一步加大自谋职业力度,却是困难重重。一是就业资源不足,经济实力薄弱,筹集资金困难。经济发展落后的山区尤其是县级政府,经济困难,财力有限.造成自谋职业
