Not long ago, a friend who was quite an engineer and did software development was told by his company that he had to leave the IT company that provided the network security product. It was not because his technology or his performance in the company was not satisfactory. It is because of the poor performance of the company. This is probably one of the most typical examples of the wave of layoffs by IT companies that have been buzzed with unprecedented buzz. After listening to the speeches of the CEOs of IT companies at IT World’s 2001 IT Wealth Annual Conference, they came to the conclusion that layoffs are normal for this year’s IT companies because everyone has experienced unprecedented challenges this year. The difficulties are beyond doubt.
