今年12月18日,是中国共产党十一届三中全会召开20周年纪念日,1999年10月1日是新中国成立50周年。国家新闻出版署不久前在京召开“关于做好纪念十一届三中全会20周年、庆祝新中国成立50周年图书出版工作会议”。署长于友先、副署长杨牧之到会并讲话。为了隆重纪念这两件大事,国家新闻出版署先后于今年2月、3月、4月召开专门会议,提出要求、交流情况,研讨制定重点选题。目前,各地出版单位报送的有关纪念十一届三中全会20周年的重点选题有80余种。这批选题内容丰富,有的旨在宣传十一届三中全会的伟大历史意义,如《伟大转折——十一届三中全会前前后后》(浙江人民版),有的突出宣传邓小平理论的实践与发展,如《邓小平经济发展论》(广东人民版),更多的选题则侧重于宜传改革开放以来的伟大实践与辉煌成就。从题材来看,有大型画册,如《改革开放20年系列画册》(新华版),还有大型工具书、专题研究、纪实
December 18 this year marks the 20th anniversary of the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. On October 1, 1999, the 50th anniversary of the founding of new China. Not long ago, the State Press and Publication Administration held its “Working Meeting on Book Publishing in Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of New China” in Beijing. Director Yu Youxian and Deputy Director Yang Muzhi attended the meeting and made speeches. In order to solemnly honor these two major events, the State Press and Publication Administration held special meetings in February, March and April this year to request, exchange information and discuss key issues for discussion and formulation. At present, there are more than 80 kinds of key topics for commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee submitted by publishing units throughout the country. These topics are rich in content and some are intended to promote the great historical significance of the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, such as “a great turning point - before and after the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee (Zhejiang People’s Daily)” and some prominent propaganda of Deng Xiaoping Theory practice and development, such as “Deng Xiaoping Theory of Economic Development” (Guangdong People’s Edition), more topics are focused on Yi Chuan since the reform and opening up, the great practice and brilliant achievements.
