人口老龄化的含义是总的人口数量是呈上涨趋势的,但相对比而言青壮年的人口数量增长缓慢,而老年人的人口数量增长迅速,整个社会的结构呈现老年人的态势,意味着社会步入了老龄化的社会。国际上有一种说法是,一个国家或者是某个地区的60岁以及60岁以上老年人的人口数量超过总人口数量的百分之十,或者是老年人65岁以上的人口数量超过总人口数的百分之七,那么说明这个国家或者是这个地区的社会发展朝着老龄化的方向迈进。
