柑桔是世界性的重要水果之一,近来不仅发展速度快,而且果品质量不断提高。我国目前的柑桔生产水平很落后,国家已决定于最近五年内在长江中上游沿岸(湖北宜昌至四川宜宾)的低山丘陵地区兴建1.2万ha高标准、高质量、高效益的现代化柑桔商品生产基地,以期振兴中国的柑桔业,取得显著的经济、生态和社会效益。这项工作规模宏伟、投资巨大,被国内外同行普遍关注。美国《Citrograph》杂志据此载文评价“中国是世界柑桔业中正在升起的新星”。搞好这项工作举世瞩目,意义重大。上述地区地形复杂,生态环境差异
Citrus is one of the most important fruits in the world. Not only has it developed rapidly, but the quality of its fruit has been continuously improved. At present, the level of citrus production in our country is very backward.
