该院有着70多年的历史,是市卫生系统最大的一家综合医院,担负医教研三大任务,从1932年起建立了图书资料室,1950年图书馆正式开放。当初只有不足20平方米的房间存放图书资料,如今馆舍面积已达200多平方米,藏书4万余册,设有中、外文书库,中、外文期刊库,工具书库和阅览室。所有书刊均按《中图法》重新分类、编目,期刊装订成册,制定了一整套存档目录。1993年被卫生部评为二甲医院图书馆。该馆的特点:①人员素质较好,3名专职人员中,2名图书馆专业毕业,1名外语专业毕业。②实行馆长负责制,设有采编、检索咨询、期刊管理兼阅览,医学情报等部门。③已正式列入医院信息管理体系归属信息科。④年经费平均递增40％,基本保证了
