序曲中国国内目前的主流重卡平台有3个,一汽解放、东风和斯太尔。其中J6、“天龙”和“霸龙507”分属解放体系与东风体系,也是第一汽车和东风汽车这两大集团的最新重卡产品。解放J6:初涉“江湖”展车型号(其中一款) CA4250P66K22T1A1E外廓尺寸(长×宽×高) 7170×2495×3600(mm)驱动形式6×4双桥牵引发动机锡柴CA6DN1—46E3电控功率460ps变速器ZF16S221驱动桥485贯通桥,速比3.7悬架(前/后) 11/12制动气动鼓式初涉江湖J6是解放研发平台上最新的一款车型,也是迄今为止记者了解到的开发时间最长的一款重卡产品。从立项开发到推出成品,经历了6年时间,一汽解放把这款车命名为J6,也即第六代重卡。这款车其实早在2005年的第十一届上海国际车展上就已亮相,但当时只是一款概念卡车;两年后J6“再临”,这时的解放已经开始准备其第六代产品的小批量订单生产工作。
