与普通硬度试验法完全不同的超声硬度试验法,为美国六十年代初所发现,其后研制成功了超声硬度计并获得专利。由于这种硬度试验法较普通的布氏,洛氏和维氏硬度试验法有精度高,速度快,硬度试验范围宽且对被试验表面损伤小的突出特点,于七十年代初引起了英国、日本、西德等有关方面的极大注意并投入了大量的研究工作。本文是综合近年来国外发表的部分研究报告,结合几年来在研制超声硬度计工作中的实践对该种硬度试验法的基本原理作了较为系统和详细地阐述,以为正确的设计和使用超声硬度计提供必要的理论基础。文中图11幅、参考文献11种。
