广平县地处黑龙港上游,大部土地沙碱易涝。1965年全县只有大小树木150万株。无产阶级文化大革命以来,全县人民在毛主席革命路线指引下,认真贯彻“以粮为纲,全面发展”的方针,积极响应毛主席“绿化祖国”的伟大号召,大打四边植树的人民战争,五年造林14500亩,四旁植树1550万株,每人平均101株。实现了四旁绿化上《纲要》。
Guangping County is located in the upper reaches of Heilonggang, most of the land of sand and alkali floods. In 1965 the county only 1.5 million trees in size.
