位于信宜市洪冠老区镇的洪冠中心小学,是省第一批补助30万元改危的学校,现有师生1200多人,在校长的精心组织下成立了《源流》兴趣读书小组。2004年9月22日,学校组织400名学生为周月颜烈士扫墓。周月颜是信宜怀乡人,解放前参加革命。1950年2月,她托人看管才两岁的儿子,带领工作组在马贵乡与暴动的土匪作战三夜四天,最后壮烈牺牲。信宜县人民政府在牛尾坪为她建了烈士墓。
