Neonatal asphyxia brain damage is a common disease in the neonatal period. We use the United States ELIS-4-type analyzer electrode method for 123 cases of neonatal asphyxia in children with serum electrolytes were measured at the same time for brain damage examination, the results reported as follows: 1 Subjects and methods 1.1 The study to January 1998 to In June 1999, 123 neonates with asphyxia admitted to our department of neonatology were enrolled in this study, including 71 males and 52 females. There were 96 cases admitted from 0 to 12 hours and 27 cases from 12 to 24 hours. Apgar score at birth: 41 cases of severe asphyxia, 82 cases of mild asphyxia; 56 cases of brain injury (HIE and / or intracranial hemorrhage), all in line with the diagnosis and indexing standard of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy or B-ultrasound and CT diagnosis basis.
