2002年是联合国科教文组织认可的中国藏族英雄史诗《格萨尔》诞生千周年纪念。最先拉开千年纪念活动可能就是玛尼多龙村和果毛滩村了,尽管村民们并不知道《格萨尓》千周年纪念的来龙去脉。
2002 marks the centenary of the birth of Gesar, an acclaimed Chinese Tibetan heroes recognized by UNESCO. The first to start the millennium commemoration may be Mani Long Village and Goma Tan Village, although the villagers do not know the ins and outs of the centenary of Gesujuan.
