音响器材基本上可分为音乐型和音响型。前者具有传统胆机的音色,音乐味好,音色浓郁,人声情感甜美;后前是现代Hi-Fi音响的表现,音色较中性,音质纯正,保真度高,动态凌厉。因此,听音环境宽敞,实力雄厚的发烧友便准备两套上述放音器材,而居住条件或实力不大宽裕者一般只能拥有一套器材。
