基本情况 厦门是中国大陆设立最早的四个经济特区之一、计划单列市,享有省一级管理权限和地方立法权。 设立经济特区以来,厦门市大力发展外向型经济,吸收外商直接投资取得丰硕成果:截至2002年10月底,已有50个国家和地区的客商到厦门投资,全市累计批准外商直接投资项目5665个,合同外资200.36亿美元,累计实际利用外资129.32亿美元。 厦门外商投资特点 ——制造业项目居主导地位,外商投资制造业项目合同利用外资占总额的60.0％,主要集中在电子、机械、化工等行业。 ——港、台投资比重较大,港商投资占46.9％,台商投资占20.9％。 ——欧美投资逐年增长,英国、美国投资分别为15.7亿美元和13.1亿美元,分列第三、四位。
Basic situation Xiamen is one of the earliest four special economic zones established in mainland China with separate municipalities under planning and with provincial-level management authority and local legislative power. Since the establishment of the special economic zone, Xiamen has made great efforts to develop its export-oriented economy and absorbed foreign direct investment. As of the end of October 2002, 50 merchants from 50 countries and regions have invested in Xiamen. The city has totally approved 5665 foreign direct investment projects, The contractual foreign investment was 20.036 billion U.S. dollars and the actual utilized foreign investment was 12.932 billion U.S. dollars. Characteristics of Foreign Investment in Xiamen - The dominance of manufacturing projects, foreign investment in manufacturing projects accounted for 60.0% of the total foreign investment, mainly in the electronics, machinery, chemical and other industries. - Hong Kong and Taiwan share a large proportion of investment, with Hong Kong businessmen investing 46.9% and Taiwanese investment 20.9%. - The investment in Europe and the United States has been increasing year by year with investments of 1.57 billion U.S. dollars and 1.31 billion U.S. dollars respectively in the United Kingdom and the United States, with the third and fourth places respectively.
