很难把1946年的那台用于计算导弹运行轨道的庞然大物ENIAC和一台正在网上冲浪的Apple iMac联系起来,虽然它们有共同的名字叫汁算机。在今天,人部分人总是把计算机当作文字图形处理机、信息数据查询机、网络通信浏览机甚个是游戏机,而最初的字面含义“计算”(compute)已被淡化。这种对科学计算的淡化和对人们日常生活的融合对于整个人类社会有着重要意义。因为它不仅标志着信息社会的开始,也标志着一种全新的文化——计算机文化的涎生。
It is difficult to link the 1946 ENIAC monolith, which is used to calculate the missile’s orbit, to an Apple iMac surfing the web, although they all have a common name. Today, some people always think of computers as text and graphics machines, data and information machines, network communication browsers and even game consoles, and the initial literal “compute” has been diluted. This desalination of scientific computing and the integration of people’s daily lives are of great significance to the entire human society. Because it not only marks the beginning of the information society, but also marks a new culture - the salivation of computer culture.
