我场位于如东县北部黄海滩涂。从1975年以来,为了探索竹类在本地区的适应性,曾先后引种毛、刚、桂、淡等竹种共474亩,取得了一些成效。现初报如下: 一、环境条件 1.土壤:引种地位于本场南部范公堤和南岸河之间。1952年围筑的二堤横贯其间。堤南为平地,土壤为冲积土,质地轻壤,厚度0～50厘米,地下水位0.60～1.50米,含盐量在0.1％以下,PH8.4以上,为碱性脱盐土。堤北地势较高,土壤为堆土,质地轻壤至砂壤,土层厚度0～50厘米以上,地下水位2～3米,土壤含盐址和PH值比堤南高。
