广东省的水土保持工作,在各级党委和政府的领导下,由于广大群众的努力,取得了很大的成绩,但是治理水土流失的任务,仍很艰巨。目前,全省48个山区县存在严重的水土流失。东江、韩江中上游严重淤积,不少农田被挖沙掩埋,土壤大量流失,地力急剧下降,自然灾害频繁,山区农业经济受到影响。
Under the leadership of the party committees and governments at all levels, the work of soil and water conservation in Guangdong Province has made great achievements due to the efforts of the broad masses of people. However, the task of managing soil and water loss is still arduous. At present, 48 mountain counties in the province have serious soil and water loss. In the middle and upper reaches of the Dongjiang and Hanjiang rivers, a large number of silted sediments were found. Many of the farmland was buried in dredged sand, soil was drained in large amounts, soil fertility was drastically reduced, and natural disasters were frequent. The agricultural economy in mountainous areas was affected.
