中美两国科研机构正在联合对黄地老虎颗粒体病毒基因组 DNA 和 CDNA 进行测序和基因识别,寻找用生物方法消灭对农作物危害很大的黄地老虎的有效方法。黄地老虎是地老虎的一种,主要肆虐中国(特别是中国中西部地区)以及欧洲、中亚、俄罗斯等地区的农作物。这种杂食性害虫专咬植物的幼茎和根部,对粮、棉、油、糖、菜等作物危害很大。在黄地老虎肆虐的地区,虫密度最高可达每平方米150条。1989年,仅中国新疆阿尔泰地区就有150万亩农作物被黄地老虎糟蹋
Scientific research institutes in both China and the United States are jointly sequencing and identifying genomic DNA and CDNA of the yellow tiger granulovirus in search of an effective way to eliminate the yellow tiger that is harmful to crops by biological methods. Yellow tiger is a tiger, mainly to China (especially in central and western China) and Europe, Central Asia, Russia and other crops. This omnivorous pest biting plant young stems and roots, on the food, cotton, oil, sugar, vegetables and other crops a great harm. In areas where yellow tigers are raging, insect density can reach up to 150 per square meter. In 1989, only 1.5 million mu of crops were destroyed by the yellow tiger in the Altai area of China’s Xinjiang alone
