《化石》杂志创刊至今已有十年了。象一棵树一样,会生根、发芽、长大,《化石》今天虽称不上伟岸挺拔,但也不再是嫩弱的小树了。经过十年不平坦的路途,它已初步赢得了读者的信任。回想1972年《化石》杂志刚创办的时候,我国科学文化园地正是百花凋零,万木萧疏,偌大一个中国仅有屈指可数的几种科普刊物。创业的艰辛自不待言。然而,一份刚出土的、一年两期的刊物竟在读者中争相传阅,不胫而走,那是何等动人的情景啊!处于精神食粮饥渴状态中的广大读者对于它所表现的这种热烈、欢欣之情,确乎是我们所未曾意料的。每念及此,仍不免使我们激动万分。就刊物的质量而言,它是不该受到这样的厚待的。但读者的拳拳之忧,以及广大作者对本刊的积极支持,始终激励和鞭策着我们前进。
Fossil magazine has been around for 10 years now. Like a tree, it will take root, germinate and grow up. Though “fossils” today can not be considered as tall and straight but it is no longer a tender tree. After ten years of uneven road, it has initially won the trust of readers. Recalling the fossil magazine was founded in 1972, when China’s science and culture garden is the withered flowers, Wanmu Xiao Shu, a large number of China only a handful of popular science publications. Difficult to start a business. However, a newly unearthed, two-year issue of the magazine actually competing for readers in the readers, spread like wildfire, that is what a touching scene ah! Each read this, still can not help but make us excited. In terms of the quality of the publication, it should not be so favored.
