Electromagnetic antibodies may save the lives of children with true neuromas. Electromagnetic antibodies, developed by Dr. John Kemshead of the London Institute for Child Health, capture tumor cells and separate the tumor cells from normal cells using a strong magnetic field. Kemshead first made a highly specific (monoclonal) antibody to true neuroblastoma cells. These antibodies bind to tumor cells when mixed with bone marrow.
