对5万吨/年丙烯腈装置的扩能技术改造进行研究，通过论证本装置自身的生产瓶颈，根据装置原生产工艺流程及反应、回收、精制各部分特点，提出了目前丙烯腈装置存在的主要问题：精制回收率低；吸收系统存在换热效果不好等问题。并对丙烯腈损失原因进行了分析。从而确定了扩能改造目标，调整了工艺参数并进行了核算和工艺研究。对相关设备进行了设计改造，主要包括：核心设备流化床反应器的改造；塔器的改造；换热器的改造等。结合丙烯腈扩能改造后的标定结果：精制回收率情况，产品分布情况，产品质量情况，主要物料单耗，进行了标定结果分析：丙烯腈精制回收率在丙烯未折纯时能达到93.8％，折纯后能达到94％。结果表明，在采用国产新型催化剂MB-96A后，通过工艺条件的优化与设备内构件的改造，将原装置的生产能力扩大到8万吨/年的规模是可行的。本次扩能改造吸收了国内同类装置改造的经验教训，取得了显著的经济效益。
