The traditional determination of the dosed mass into a container is done by mechanical weighing cells after the filling process by a tare measurement between the empty and the filled container.These weighting cells require low machine speed and a highly vibration-free environment during the in process control(IPC)mode.The decreasing amount of dosed API(Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient)up to micro-doses like inhalation devices requires an accurate l00%control based on a n on-contact measurement.The VisioAMV(Advanced Mass Verification)is based on a ca pacity measurement whereby the change of the capacity during the product transfers through the measuring cell vs.the transfer time is recorded.The resulting integral signal can be calibrated to mass.Application l: VisioAMV for the mass verification of product A during the dosing process by an auger filler The VisioAMV is used to verify the mass of product A during the dosing process in carpoules through an auger filler.The dosed mass is between l0-l00 mg and the speed is >240 carpoules/min.The obtained RSD between VisioAMV and external scale was l.8%.Application 2: VisioAMV for the mass verification of product B inside glass vials on a filling machine The VisioAMV is used to verify the mass of product B inside glass vials in a filling machine.The first measuring channel is inspecting the glass variability and the second measuring channel is scanning the entire glass vial with product.The machine speed is up to 600 vials per min.The mass inside the vials is between 0.5-50 mg.The obtained RSD between VisioAMV and external scale was l.5%.
