The potential of in vivo electroporation attracts increasing attention for the transfer of DNA, RNA and proteins into mammalian tissue.Using this technique we studied neurogenesis in the mouse olfactory system from radial gila cells representing postnatal stem cells. We show here that injection of (1) eDNA or (2) protein (a monoclonal antibody) into the lateral ventricle of mouse brain followed by electroporation affects proliferation/differentiation processes of radial glia cells.
