Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common cancer in men in Westernized countries.The clinical challenge however is not mortality rate, but over-diagnosis and inadequate treatment of patients.A more informative classification system is needed for patient diagnosis and risk-stratification and molecular biomarkers may serve to bridge the gap of the inadequacies of current prognostic and predictive methods.
