As the ongoing issues in imports continue to fill the media in the U.S., it is useful to step back from the crises and reflect on how we can learn from these experiences in order to make our relationship and the health of our two countries, better and better.Many of the issues China is dealing with are parallel to what other countries, like the U.S., have experienced: China is undergoing an unprecedented and rapid boom and expansion of its economy.As the economy grows quick ly, regulators need to be able to strike a balance between allowing the blossoming of markets along with the need of making these markets safe and accessible to consumers.In no area is this more important than in healthcare.Consumers need access to healthcare, and they need this healthcare to be effective and safe.
