The plant-specific NAC ((N)AM, (A)TAF1,2, (C)UC2) transcription factors play significant roles in diverse physiological processes.In this study, we characterized a stress-responsive tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) NAC 1 (SlNAC1) transcription factor.The SlNAC1 protein is degraded by ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) in both plant and yeast.
